Neymar has signed for Al-Hilal

The Saudi Pro League teams have successfully signed some of the biggest stars from the top five leagues of European football. Ever since announcing his time at PSG was up, Neymar has been on the lookout for some new challenges, and he, like the rest of the players, is fascinated by what Saudi Arabia is doing for football.

Neymar has now joined the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Benzema, Kante, and Mahrez in the league. In a recent interview, Neymar hailed Ronaldo for what he has done since his arrival, and he also praised the man for coming to Saudi Arabia. Ronaldo was one of the main reasons why Neymar wanted to come to Saudi Arabia.

Here’s how Al-Hilal could line up in the upcoming season:

Goalkeeper- Yassine Bounou

The Moroccan shot-stopper was in goal against Manchester City in the Super Cup final, in which his team (Sevilla) lost in penalties by a score of 5-4; this was probably his last match for the Spanish club. Sevilla’s number-one choice goalkeeper has shown interest in the club, and the club is very serious about signing him as soon as possible. Al-Hilal have had the largest spending in the Saudi League this season, and since personal terms have been agreed upon, sooner or later he will be announced by the club.

Left-back- Nasser Al-Dawsari

The Saudi Arabian left-back has been a part of the club for almost six years now. He has been involved in all the league titles that Al-Hilal has won till now, the latest being in the 2021–22 season. In 2021, he scored the fastest goal ever in the AFC Champions League in just sixteen seconds.

Centre-back- Kalidou Koulibaly

Koulibaly, 32, scored two goals in 32 appearances in all competitions for Chelsea after joining them from Napoli in 2022. He was the second player to move to Al Hilal from the Premier League after Portugal midfielder Ruben Neves decided to move from Wolves. The one-time Africa Cup winner will look to add some experience to Al-Hilal’s side. He was a part of the match against Al-Nassr recently.

Centre-back- Ali Al-Bulayhi

The centre-back from Saudi Arabia has had some time in and out of the playing XI; he was part of the Saudi Arabian side that handed the major upset in the World Cup after defeating Argentina in the group stages. The 33-year-old defender can form a partnership with the Senegalese, lead the team from behind, and help the club win another league title this season.

Right-back- Mohammed Al-Breik

Al-Breik started his career with Al-Hilal; he was a youth academy prodigy who came into the senior team in 2014 and was sent on loan in 2015. He helped the side (Al-Raed) survive the league and come out of the relegation zone. He has over 148 appearances for Al-Hilal, and he will certainly add to this tally in the coming season.

Centre-midfield- Ruben Neves

The Portuguese was signed by the club in this summer’s transfer window; he was the club’s first signing. Neves is known for the outrageous goals that he has scored throughout his career; one of the highlights of his career is his out-of-the-box goal against Manchester United. Since his arrival at Al-Hilal, he has been a regular starter for the club.

Centre-midfield- Musab Aljuwayr

The 20-year-old also started his journey on the youth side of the club; he made his senior appearance in 2021. The youngest member of Ramon Diaz’s squad was drenched in the responsibility of securing a semi-final against Flamengo in the FIFA Club World Cup, and the young midfielder made no mistake.

Centre-attacking midfield- Sergej Milinkovic-Savic

The Serbian international has left Lazio after eight years to join Al-Hilal. He snubbed interest from Juventus, Arsenal, and Chelsea in order to make the switch to Saudi Arabia. Milinkovic-Savic joined Lazio in 2015 and helped them win the Italian Cup in the 2018-19 season and two Italian Super Cups. He will team up with Neymar, one of Europe’s finest this season, along with experienced players from the Premier League.

Left-wing- Neymar

Neymar is one of the best players of our generation, alongside Messi and Ronaldo. He has played with the best players throughout his career, and he has followed Ronaldo and other superstars to join the Saudi Pro League.

He has left PSG for a new challenge, and we’ll see how he performs in the league. He will have some great players in Al-Hilal, players who have experience playing football in the top five leagues of European football.

Striker- Malcom

The former Barcelona player and Brazilian international also joined the club in this summer’s transfer window from Zenit. Malcom made a name for himself at the Tokyo Olympics when he scored the winning goal against Spain in the finals. He has started his Saudi League career on a high note; he netted a hat trick in their opening match of the league.

Right-wing- Salem Al-Dawsari

Salem plays as a winger and second striker, and with the signings of Neymar and Malcom, he will get more freedom on the flank. He scored the winning goal against Argentina in the 2022 FIFA World Cup. He said in an interview that he wants to become like his idol, Ronaldo, and that he has all the potential to become one of the best in the Saudi Pro League. He is widely considered to be one of the greatest Asian footballers of his generation.
