Barcelona set to submit formal bit for Man City's right-back Joao Cancelo

The Portuguese has already agreed to personal terms with Barcelona
According to reports, Barcelona will make a formal bid to Manchester City soon in a bid to sign the right-back Joao Cancelo.
The Catalans intend to tie up Cancelo on a loan with a purchase option, claims transfer news analyst Fabrizio Romano. They and the Portuguese player have come to a personal understanding.
A portion of the proceeds from the transfer of Ousmane Dembele to Paris Saint-Germain, he said, will be used by the Blaugrana for the transaction.
Romano withheld information regarding the duration of the loan agreement and whether Manchester City would be paid a loan fee.
Cancelo, who completed the remainder of his rookie campaign on loan at Bayern Munich following an altercation with manager Pep Guardiola, appears to have been the target of City’s attempt to transfer him. He participated in 21 games for the Bavarians, scoring once and dishing up six assists.

In a 2019 cash-plus-player swap that also saw Danilo transfer to Juventus, Cancelo joined Manchester City. The Barcelona prospect has appeared 154 occasions for Guardiola’s team since that point, contributing 22 assists and nine goals.
The weekend that followed marked the beginning of the respective league seasons for Barcelona and Manchester City. The two games demonstrated how a hypothetical Joao Cancelo trade may benefit both teams.
As a regular team member, he has taken home two Premier League championships, two Carabao Cups, and one FA Community Shield. C
Cancelo contributed to City’s treble victory last season by appearing in six UEFA Champions League games, 17 league games, one FA Cup game, and one Carabao Cup game.
