DFL-Super Cup: Bayern Munich vs RB Leipzig: Predicted lineup, injury update, head-to-head, telecast
Bayern will face Leipzig in bid to win Super Cup on Saturday night
Bayern hope to win this trophy for the eighth time in the last eight years after winning the last match 5-3 in a thrilling contest. Prior to winning versus Leipzig at the Red Bull Arena in the 2017 DFL-Supercup, Bayern had defeated Borussia Dortmund in eight of the previous ten DFL-Supercups. Leipzig’s recent DFB-Pokal victories have thus offered a nice change of scenery.
Upon selling prominent players such as Josko Gvardiol, Dominik Szoboszlai, and Christopher Nkunku to clubs in the Premier League for significant sums of money, along with additional players such as Marcel Halstenberg, Angelino, Andre Silva, and Laimer who either left the club forever or on loan, Leipzig may be entering an era of evolution.

Injury and team news
After his skiing tragedy in December of last year, which terminated his campaign early due to a broken leg, Bayern are expected to be absent the renowned custodian Manuel Neuer at least after the forthcoming international break beginning in September.
Sven Ulreich will probably be required in goal once more given that Sommer, who served as his stand-in substitute for the rest of the season, left for Inter last month.
The Supercup match on Saturday will not be played with Thomas Muller, Eric Choupo-Moting, or Gabriel Marusic, and new recruit Guerreiro will have to wait to make an appearance owing to a hamstring strain.
The most of last season, Leipzig was also without its first-choice custodian since Peter Gulasci was still recovering from an ACL injury.
Prior to their team’s difficult journey to Bayer Leverkusen in the Bundesliga following the weekend, Amadou Haidara and Lukas Klostermann are both dealing with injuries to their muscles and are doubtful to be attempted. Baumgartner may also be prevented from completing an appearance due to their own persistent injury.

Match prediction
Due to a few injury concerns and the need to make room for numerous new players, both teams might not be at their most fluid best on Saturday, but we nevertheless anticipate another exciting DFL-Supercup match between these two teams.
Bayern’s starting XI is still strong, and even if their roster lacks the depth of recent seasons, they should once again be too potent offensively to handle Leipzig.
Prediction: Bayern Munich 3-1 RB Leipzig
