Brighton slap £120m price tag on Evan Ferguson

The youngster has scored 10 goals in the Premier League
Evan Ferguson is reputedly valued at £120 million ($152 million) by Brighton, who see him as their “dream” Harry Kane successor.
The Lilly Whites are looking for a successor before the transfer window closes after transferring their star player to Bayern Munich for an astounding £100 million ($127 million).
As reported by Sky Sports, Ferguson has been recommended to step into Kane’s shoes in north London, but Brighton’s exorbitant demands might turn him off.
After selling Moises Caicedo to Chelsea for a British high sum, they are asking for an even higher transfer price for Ferguson, whom they think has an opportunity to become an upcoming star.
Just 18 years old, the youthful striker is being carefully raised by Roberto de Zerbi. With only 21 league games to his credit, he has seven goals and two assists, notably one in the team’s 2023–24 season opener against Luton Town.
Spurs, who are fascinated by the teenager’s strength and technical abilities, have asked Brighton if they would be willing to sell the young prodigy.

The Seagulls may be tempted to keep him this year, though, in the hopes that he can have a breakout season and earn them a higher asking price the following summer.
De Zerbi has already described Ferguson as “not like a normal 18-year-old” and thinks he has the potential to develop into one of the “best scorers in the Premier League.”
So it should be no surprise that Brighton is making Tottenham Hotspur pay as much as possible for the forward. On Saturday, he will play again against Wolves, while Tottenham hosts Manchester United at the end of the day.
Even Manchester United might not feel compelled to make a move for Ferguson. Rasmus Hojlund, 20, was acquired from Atalanta for £72 million, and the club sees him as both a part of their present and future.
Ferguson, meanwhile, got the season started with a goal in Brighton’s 4-1 victory over Luton. He came off as a substitute to start the match, but Danny Welbeck was his replacement for the final 12 minutes when he scored the game’s final goal from a distance.
