Chelsea 'in talks' with Neymar after he informed PSG he wants to leave this summer

The Brazilain has struggled in Paris after leaving Barcelona
Neymar joined PSG after he left Barcelona in 2017 on what is till date the most expensive transfer in football history, at €222m. After some initial success, Neymar’s old foes came to haunt him back, injuries. Neymar missed majority of the last season due to recurring injuries.
On top of that, Neymar isn’t popular with the fans of the French champions either, earlier last season it was reported that Neymar might leave the club, however lack of suitors broke the deal down. Neymar’s unpopularity with PSG fans is well documented, fans have shown up at his doorstep protesting, demanding that he leaves the club.
All these factors have influenced the Brazilian star’s psyche, as he has informed club boss Luis Enrique that he wishes to leave the club this summer, citing that he feels unwelcomed at the club.
Chelsea have been rumored to be in talks with PSG and Neymar over signing the striker. Their new signing Christopher Nkunku is expected to be out for the starting of the season due to injury, opening up a position to take up for the Brazilian.

It is reported that PSG may request a transfer fee of €60m. However, they are also comfortable in exploring a loan move with a buy in option in the end.
RMC has reported the striker is open to a move to the Premier League after his homecoming to Barcelona hangs in the balance, with different outlets reporting different stances on the topic.
Manchester United were also reported to be interested in him. However, with Ten Hag signing Rasmus Hojlund, their interest had died down.
Neymar is paid €30m each year at PSG, and matching his salary may be a stumbling block in his move to England.
At the moment, it looks like the Brazilian will either end up at Barcelona or Chelsea.
