Chelsea target Arsenal striker Folarin Balogun to reinforce their attacking line
The Blues are still in the market to sign number of forwards
Folarin Balogun, an Arsenal striker, has attracted interest from Chelsea who are wants to bolster their assault before the transfer deadline.
Chelsea are taking the 22-year-old into consideration after Mauricio Pochettino’s team failed to generate any obvious second-half opportunities in the 3-1 loss to West Ham on Sunday.
Balogun, who scored 21 league goals in 37 outings for Reims this past season while on loan, is willing to leave the Emirates Stadium for Chelsea.
Arsenal wants about £50 million for its striker, who has a contract that expires in June 2025 and has learned that Chelsea are interested.
Balogun has previously had a £34 million bid from Monaco denied, and Fulham has him on their short list of potential replacements for Aleksandar Mitrovic, who recently joined Al-Hilal.

Chelsea is considering a variety of attackers to help Mauricio Pochettino’s assault after losing the signing of Michael Olise of Crystal Palace, who recently agreed on a new four-year contract.
Brennan Johnson of swift Nottingham Forest, Mohammed Kudus of Ajax’s offensive midfield, and Bradley Barcola of Lyon are more candidates.
In order to maintain balance in his team, Pochettino is circumspect in his quest while adamantly stating that he still has faith in the present forwards Nicolas Jackson and Armando Broja.
But the team has had to change its preparations due to injury issues. After having operations on his left knee, Carney Chukwuemeka will be absent for six weeks, bringing the total number of injured players to eight.
While Broja approaches his comeback following significant knee surgery in December, star winger Christopher Nkunku will be missing for four months after suffering a knee injury in the preseason. To speed up his rehabilitation, Broja will soon play in an Under-21s game or a friendly under curtains.
