PSG’s Timothee Pembele is reportedly in talks with Bundesliga outfit Eintracht Frankfurt over a move to Germany.

Timothee Pembele has been a part of PSG’s youth setup since he was a teenager; he joined the club as a thirteen-year-old. He rose through their ranks and was handed his first team debut as an 18-year-old two years ago.

He has since made just 11 appearances for the Parisians. He is currently said to be out of PSG’s plans for the future and has been training with players who are listed for transfers and exits.

Pembele’s contract at the Parc de Princes is scheduled to run out at the end of 2024. It is being reported that many French clubs are interested in the centre-back. However, the biggest interest has come from Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt.

It is being reported that representatives from both sides and the player are in talks with each other to facilitate the move. The player himself is reportedly keen on the move. And sources have reported that a move is conceivable by the end of the week. It looks like Pembele’s time with his formative club is coming to an end.

Pembele has been consistent during his time with PSG’s youth sides, has been a regular in France’s youth side, and even featured in the 2021 Olympics for the French U-23 side. However, the presence of already-established defenders like Achraf Hakimi has seen the youngster get less and less playtime.

A move to a less scrutinised side like Eintracht Frankfurt would allow the centre-back to develop his game and then perhaps move to a more established team.

Timothee Pembele has played 37 Ligue 1 matches and has scored two goals. He likes to go forward and could become a great addition to Frankfurt’s side.
