Erik ten Hag keen on bringing Aurelien Tchouameni to Old Trafford

The French midfielder could leave Real Madrid after just once season

French national Aurelien Tchouameni joined Real Madrid just last summer from Ligue 1 side Monaco on a transfer fee of €80m. However, the €103m signing of Jude Bellingham, and the Los Blancos trying to make space Mbappe’s arrival which may happen 12 monte earlier than expected, have left his future at the club in a bit of a balance.

The defensive midfielder made 50 appearances for Los Blancos across all competitions and has been linked to several clubs in the ongoing transfer window.

According to sport11, Bundesliga Champions Bayern München have already contacted both the player and the club in a bid to bring the 23-year-old to Allianz Arena, it is reported that he may come to Bayern initially on loan with a buying option at the end.

“We lack a defensive midfielder who maintains the position and thinks defensively,” Bayern boss  Thomas Tuchel was recently quoted as saying when discussing his team’s needs for the rest of the window.

Manchester United boss Erik Ten Haag is reportedly adamant on acquiring the midfielder from Real Madrid. His interest comes at a time when United have signed a mid-fielder in Mason Mount. However, the Red Devils are expecting midfield exits in the near future with Fred and Donny Van de Beek both being linked with exits this summer.

It is reported that  Scott Mctominay will be allowed to leave if ten Hag makes more additions to the midfield.

Manchester United are showing considerable interests in midfielders as less than a fortnight remains before the English season kicks off. They have been interested in Sofyan Amrabat of Fiorentina and Leon Goretzka of Bayern München, who has been told he is free to leave the Allianz this summer.

Tchouameni has five years remaining on his contract at Real Madrid. United are reportedly preparing a bid worth €80m for the French national.
