The French star looks set to stay at PSG this summer

Didier Deschamps, the manager of France’s national team, spoke in-depth with L’Equipe on Thursday. The Les Bleus boss, who is 54 years old, offered his opinion on Kylian Mbappé’s (24) contract dispute with Paris Saint-Germain.

Because of his inability to prolong his time in the French capital and his plan to join the champions of Ligue 1 as a free agent next summer, the France captain was kept away from Luis Enrique’s senior team throughout the preseason period.

The 2018 World Cup champion Kylian Mbappe eventually staged a comeback and even netted PSG’s opening Ligue 1 goal against Toulouse last week.

Deschamps had no plans of leaving Kylian Mbappe out of the France team despite this difficult summer. Deschamps stated, “I still would have called him up, without a doubt.” Kylian would have

“My role is not to do this. I converse with him and other athletes, although their careers are different from mine. I’m not a consultant. If they inquire, I can at most offer my opinion,” Deschamps said.

When his present contract expires on June 30th, with France potentially still competing in the Euro 2024, the former lauded midfielder is certain that Mbappé will not lose his enthusiasm and focus on his future. “The person who can make Kylian lose his cool has yet to be born.”

Kylian Mbappe’s initial actions as France’s captain were also praised by Deschamps. The 24-year-old PSG attacker was given the captain’s armband as a result of both Hugo Lloris and Raphael Varane retiring from international competition, as exclusively reported by Get French Football News.

“He is completely legitimate in the gang. He is an expert. He can serve as a link between the younger and more experienced players. He is not at all self-centered.

The team that will face Ireland on September 7 in Paris as part of their bid to qualify for the 2024 European Championship will be unveiled by Deschamps on next Thursday. Five days later, in Dortmund, France will play Germany in a friendly match.
