Independiente del Valle will make $29m from Moisés Caicedo's transfer to Chelsea

The Blues broke the British transfer record to sign the Brighton midfielder
According to CBS Sports, Independiente del Valle, Moisés Caicedo’s previous club , will receive $29m from his British record transfer from Brighton to Chelsea.
They intend to make investments in Ecuadorian football and use the funds to construct a High-Performance Centre that will be named after Caicedo.
According to reports, Chelsea will pay a base sum of £100 million plus £15 million in performance-based add-ons.
Caicedo’s agreement has a one-year extension option, and Brighton will receive a sell-on provision that has been called “significant” as part of the agreement.
The extras have been divided into two categories: those that are “quite easily achievable” and those that are “much harder” to complete.

A week ago, Liverpool and Caicedo reached an agreement on a £111 million transfer, but the agreement fell apart after the 21-year-old told the club he wanted to join Chelsea.
Caicedo was originally scheduled for a medical trip to Liverpool on Friday after Jurgen Klopp’s team had a bid approved by Brighton after the closing date for proposals on Thursday at midnight.
However, the Ecuadorian international had an abrupt change of conscience and informed Liverpool that he wasn’t interested to join after the Reds’ 1-1 Premier League draw at Chelsea on Sunday.
The £115 million price tag for Caicedo surpasses the £106.8 million Chelsea spent for Enzo Fernandez in January before they broke the British transfer cost benchmark. Declan Rice cost Arsenal £105 million earlier this summer.
In the face of Liverpool and the Belgian having reached a £60 million deal, Chelsea continues to attempt to acquire Southampton’s Romeo Lavia this summer.
Caicedo is Chelsea’s tenth signing of the transfer window, joining players like Christopher Nkunku ($52 million), Axel Disasi ($38.8 million), Nicolas Jackson ($32 million), Robert Sanchez ($25 million), Lesley Ugochukwu ($23.1 million), Angelo Gabriel, Ishe Samuels-Smith, Diego Moreira, and Alex Matos ($undisclosed). Chelsea has now spent the most money in the league this summer ($285.9 million).
