Jurgen Klopp urges FIFA and UEFA to take action against Saudi club's spending

Saudi clubs have spent an astronomical amount of money to sign European players
Jurgen Klopp, the manager of Liverpool, has urged FIFA and UEFA to “find solutions” for the early closure of the Saudi Arabian transfer window.
While clubs in the Saudi Pro League can recruit players until September 20, the summer transfer window for the top five European leagues closes on September 1.
Roberto Firmino, Jordan Henderson, and Fabinho all left Liverpool for Saudi Arabia, and Klopp claimed that European clubs need more assistance.
Klopp responded to a question regarding Saudi interference at a press conference on Tuesday:
“It is massive, at the moment. Pretty much the worst thing I think is that the transfer window in Saudi Arabia is open three weeks longer. If I am right — I heard something like that — then, at least in Europe, that’s not helpful.
“UEFA or FIFA must find solutions for that. But in the end, at this moment, I don’t know exactly what will happen.”

Pep Guardiola, the manager of Manchester City, recently issued a warning that Saudi Arabia’s economy is shifting as a result of Riyad Mahrez’s transfer to Al Ahli.
Additionally, Klopp denied rumours that Kylian Mbappé of Paris Saint-Germain would be moving to Anfield during the summer.
“We laugh about it,” Klopp exclusively told Sky Germany. “I can say that I think he’s a really good player, but the financial conditions don’t suit us at all.
“I wouldn’t like to ruin the story now… but as far as I know, there’s nothing to it.
“It’s possible that someone else from the club is preparing something and wants to surprise me… that hasn’t happened in the eight years that I’ve been here. That would be the first time.”
