Kylian Mbappe and PSG resume talks over contract extension
The French star was expected to leave PSG in summer window
The present Paris Saint-Germain contract for Kylian Mbappe expires in 2024; PSG accepted a record-setting £258 million offer from Al Hilal recently, but Mbappe had no interest in the switch. Mbappe could either sign a year-long renewal alternative to 2025 in his term or a new contract.
When his contract ends in the summer of 2019, the 24-year-old will continue to play for the Ligue 1 team. He will not be allowed to depart on a free transfer.
Mbappe can extend his current contract by one year, through 2025 or enter into a new agreement.

Real Madrid were strongly linked to the France forward, but head coach Carlo Ancelotti said it wouldn’t occur on Thursday. I completely rule that out, he said. Our team may be complete, and our players may be considering the upcoming season.
Mbappe was removed from PSG’s summer tour of South Korea and Japan last month after he informed the team that he intended to leave on a free transfer the following summer.
PSG accepted a world-record £258 million (€300 million) offer for Mbappe from Al Hilal in July, but the footballer was uninterested in the transfer. Instead, PSG thought he had already agreed to sign as a free agent with Real Madrid at the conclusion of the season.
After making it clear that he was dedicated to the squad and scoring on his return in a 1-1 draw against Toulouse last Saturday, Mbappe was given the green light to begin training with the first-team group once more 11 days ago.
Before it was revealed that Mbappé had signed a new three-year contract, a comparable saga took place last summer, later, it was revealed that the warranty was limited to two years, with the possibility of an additional year only available in Mbappé’s case.
Before the game against Lorient, manager Luis Enrique expressed his hope that PSG and Mbappé could resolve their differences, adding that the club had previous experience doing so.
