Manchester City accept Al-Nassr's offer to sign Aymeric Laporte
The Cityzens have already signed Josko Gvardiol this summer
According to David Orenstein, Manchester City have accepted an offer for Aymeric Laporte from Cristiano Ronaldo side Al Nassr.
Aymeric Laporte is now free to negotiate terms with the Saudi Pro League team because the offer, which has not yet been shared, has met City’s assessment of the centre-back.
Prior to the Super Cup match against Sevilla, Laporte is in Athens with Pep Guardiola’s team, as City set to take on Sevilla in UEFA Super Cup.
Following the signings of Alex Telles, Cristiano Ronaldo, Sadio Mané, Marcelo Brozovic, and Sadio Mané, Al Nassr is seeking to add the Spain international as the newest high-profile player.
Laporte, 29, fell down the hierarchy at the Etihad Stadium this year, therefore City were open to offers this summer. Josko Gvardiol, another left-footed centre-back, was also acquired by the team this summer for €90 million, severely decreasing Laporte’s chances of playing regularly.

In the heart of the defence, Guardiola has additional weapons in John Stones, Ruben Dias, Nathan Aké, and Manuel Akanji.
ESPN has claimed from sources that City are still awaiting offers for Joo Cancelo. The Portuguese full-back, who was not included in the squad for the victory over Burnley, will be permitted to leave the club if a suitable offer is made.
Laporte has played in 121 games for the Citizens throughout divisions since his €65 million transfer from Athletic Bilbao in 2018, collecting 14 trophies. According to Football. London, an offer to Arsenal have lately been suggested for him.
However, the 29-year-old is now anticipated to be Al-Nassr’s first high-profile acquisition at centre-back. Since acquiring Cristiano Ronaldo from Manchester United in December, the Saudi mega-clubs have also signed Sadio Mane, Seko Fofana, Marcelo Brozovic, and Alex Telles.
