The Red Devils will look to seal the deal before the window closes

According to David Ornstein, Manchester United are negotiating to sign Sofyan Amrabat. Due to FFP, Manchester United hopes to sign the Fiorentina midfielder on a temporary loan rather than a long-term deal.

Ryan Gravenberch is one alternative, but Morocco internationally is the main objective. The 27-year-old wants to go to Old Trafford.

During the summer transfer window, the Moroccan star was frequently mentioned in connection with an offer to move to Old Trafford.

In their first three Premier League games, United’s midfield issues were clear to see.

Mason Mount’s impending absence and Scott McTominay’s potential exit had led to expectations that United would start looking for a midfielder.

Sofyan Amrabat’s contract with Fiorentina has one year left to run, and he has hinted he won’t sign an extension.

The Italian’s previous two matchday lineups haven’t included the 26-year-old, a star at the 2022 World Cup, in order to give him time to decide his future.

Although Amrabat has been shortlisted by Manchester United, the Manchester Evening News reports that the Red Devils do not anticipate signing the midfielder.

The club claims that the hype surrounding its involvement in the Moroccan Cup was caused by rumours out of Italy.

Sofyan Amrabat’s alternative

Ryan Gravenberch of Bayern Munich is a target for United, although it’s unclear if the Germans will permit the Dutchman’s transfer.

In the club’s final campaign, he made just six starts, and in the team’s first two games this year, he has been benched.

Liverpool, a Premier League rival team, is also looking for an explosive midfielder and had been identified with Amrabat earlier in the transfer window. This change may now present an opportunity for the Reds to pounce.

Due to their $170 million investment in Rasmus Hojlund, Mason Mount, and Andre Onana, United are in desperate need of a defensive midfielder to assist Casemiro following a poor start to the season.
