Manchester United potential buyer considering selling luxury houses in London
Sheikh Jassim is among the candidate looking to buy the Premier League club
A Qatari sheikh, whose son is leading an offer for Manchester United, is considering selling two opulent homes in some of London’s most affluent neighbourhoods for a collective £370 million ($470 million).
According to sources familiar with the situation, Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim bin Jaber Al Thani may be contemplating selling a triplex penthouse at the One Hyde Park development in London’s affluent Knightsbridge neighbourhood for about £220 million, as well as an estate he holds close by at Belgrave Square for about £150 million.
The sources claimed that if proposals do not meet the asking price, Sheikh Hamad can decide not to sell. The king was approached for comments through his personal investigator.
The possibility of selling a portion of Sheikh Hamad’s opulent London holdings came after the billionaire purchased and renovated the six-story Forbes House, which is close to Buckingham Palace.
After the Glazer family stated they were considering offers for Manchester United over nine months ago, the transaction now appears to be nearing completion.

As the owners get ready to make a decision regarding the future of the Premier League team, offers from Sir Jim Ratcliffe and Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani are still being considered. The Qatari proposal is reportedly about to be declared the victor following a protracted and drawn-out procedure.
In addition, the price is predicted to soar considerably higher than the world record values predicted early in the process, reaching a staggering £7.2–7.3bn.
After initially purchasing a stake in the team in the years prior, the Glazer family has owned Manchester United since 2005. However, some of the fan base has taken to protesting their ownership, finding it undesirable.
It had been assumed that disagreements between various family members were the main cause of the current sale process’s impediment.
According to sources, brothers Joel and Avram, who are the more involved members of the family with Manchester United, weren’t quite ready to give up all of their ownership.
