PSG also had their initial bid dismissed by Frankfurt

According to reports, Paris Saint-Germain are preparing a counteroffer for Eintracht Frankfurt forward Randal Kolo Muani after Manchester United’s initial offer of €70 million, including extras, was turned down.

Loic Tanzi of L’Equipe reports that the Red Devils’ intriguing bid for Randal Kolo Muani was apparently rejected. Due to a lack of offensive potency at the top, Erik ten Hag’s team has had a dismal start to the current campaign.

Rasmus Hojlund, a Danish attacker who joined from Atalanta for €75 million, has been enticed to Old Trafford by Ten Hag. The 20-year-old, though, has missed Manchester United’s first two games of the season because of an injury.

The Red Devils manager reportedly wanted to sign an additional striker last month despite Hojlund’s arrival, according to reports. Before Dane’s transfer, Kolo Muani, 24, was on United’s radar, and it now seems that he still is.

A year ago, the Frankfurt scorer was in excellent form, scoring 23 goals and dishing out 17 assists in 46 games across all competitions. He followed up his goal with a pair of goals in his first two games of the current campaign.

Manchester United will have company for him, though, since PSG already had an offer of €60 million plus €10 million in upgrades rejected. According to the aforesaid source, the Parisians are going to present a better offer today (August 21).

After the exits of Lionel Messi and Neymar, the leaders of Ligue 1 have made numerous changes to their assault this summer. They recently signed Goncalo Ramos from Benfica and Ousmane Dembele from Barcelona.

However, PSG manager Luis Enrique is interested in Kolo Muani as a way to strengthen his frontline. He still has a four-year term left on his contract with Deutsche Bank Park, and it appears that two powerful European clubs are interested in him.
