Mexico announce squad for September International friendlies

Jiminez has been called up for Mexico games
Tuesday saw the release of the 24-man roster for Mexico‘s upcoming friendly against Australia in Dallas on September 9 and Uzbekistan in Atlanta on September 10.
The reinstatement of experienced Houston Dynamo midfielder Héctor Herrera and Fulham attacker Ral Jiménez, both of whom were previously dropped out of the Mexico team that claimed the Gold Cup this past summer, stands out in the first lineup choice for the newly appointed manager Jaime ‘Jimmy’ Lozano.
Other notable players and regular call-ups for Mexico, like Guillermo Ochoa of Salernitana, Santiago Giménez of Feyenoord, and Edson Alvarez of West Ham United, made the team for September.
Jesus Orozco of Chivas, Jordi Cortizo of Monterrey, and Cesar Huerta of Pumas are among the fresh faces who received their first-ever call-ups for Mexico’s senior team.

Julian Quinones, a winger with Colombian roots, was not called up, but Lozano said earlier on Monday that the Club America player had already agreed to move to Mexico, subject to paperwork.
The Mexico manager additionally stated that a few notable players were going to be left off the team due to pending deals and movements.
