The 31-year-old has been Liverpool’s talisman since 2017

Reports from Jan Aage Fjørtoft (Viaplay Group+ESPN/Servus TV / Columnist BildZeitung) are indicating that Mohamed Salah might leave Liverpool by the end of this week, as Al-Ittihad are adamant about their prospect of bringing Salah to the Gulf state.

This is the third time Mohamed Salah has been linked with an exit from the Saudi Pro League. The first time rumours arose about him possibly leaving, his agent shut them down with a tweet reiterating Salah’s commitment to Liverpool.

The second time news broke, it was revealed that Al-Ittihad were ready to increase his pay significantly and put him on par with the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Benzema and Neymar. However, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp reiterated that Salah is not up for sale and remains crucial to Liverpool’s project.

Klopp is repeatedly stating that Salah remains unsellable and that Liverpool will not hear any offers about his departure. However, if the Egyptian himself wishes, the move can materialise.

It is being reported that wages up to €191 million might be too much to say no to for the winger. On the other hand, it is being reported that Al-Ittihad are preparing a bid worth €150 million, an amount Liverpool might find difficult to refuse for a 31-year-old.

His departure will totally depend on his desire to move. Salah currently has a contract with Liverpool that ties him to Anfield until 2025. However, Salah was very close to parting ways with Anfield, as it was reported that his wages weren’t matching his desires. It is speculated that his proposed wages at Al-Ittihad might play a decisive role in his leaving Liverpool.

In his six years at Liverpool, he is already a legendary figure and a fan favourite; he has most notably been instrumental in Liverpool’s Premier League title win and Champions League triumph.
