The Egyptian extended his contract in July 2022
Saudi Pro League team Al-Ittihad have been reported to be in pursuit of Liverpool winger Mohamed Salah. They have been reported to prepare a bid worth £60m to offer Liverpool to secure Salah, on the other hand, they are preparing to offer Salah €180m for a two year contract.
Mohamed Salah joined Liverpool in 2017 for a club record fee of £37m for his second stint in the Premier League. Since then, he has evolved into not only a Liverpool legend, but one of the most celebrated forwards in the Premier League and the football world. He is regarded as the finest African player to ever play in the Premier League.

Salah made his debut in the English topflight with Chelsea. After just 19 appearances in two seasons, Mohamed Salah was sold to Serie A side AS Roma. After 43 goals in 83 appearances, Liverpool came searching for the forward. Since then, its been a historic ride.

Reports suggesting Mohamed Salah might leave Anfield for Saudi started to float around earlier this month. However, Mohamed Salah’s agent Ramy Abbas Isa took to twitter to clarify the players situation. He tweeted:
“If we considered leaving LFC this year, we wouldn’t have renewed the contract last summer. Mohamed remains committed to LFC.”
The Saudi Pro League has established itself to be a league which doesn’t shy away from spending cash to get the biggest names in football. The Saudi exodus started with Cristiano Ronaldo leaving Man United for Al Nassr. Recently, many big names like Karim Benzema, Ngolo Kante, and Edouardo Mendy left for Saudi.
However, even though Liverpool had a below average season, Klopp, and Salah himself realise how important the Egyptian is to Anfield. And with the kind of stature he has at Liverpool, there seems to be no reason as to why he would want to leave the Premier League giant.
