Many clubs have named new captains for 2023-24 season

The captain is perhaps among the most crucial player on a team of football players since he or she serves as a leader both on and off the pitch, defining right from incorrect as well as good from evil.

They set an example, they respond to challenging inquiries, and they are in charge of maintaining order inside the dressing area.

It’s a significant duty that should only be taken on by a particular type of player. The choice of whether or not to give somebody the armband might be pivotal in modern sports, which is far more complicated than it was in the past. It used to be whoever yelled the loudest.

This time there have been many new names who will wear the captain armband for next season following the departure of a few long-serving club players who captained their respective teams for decades.

The likes of Jordan Henderson and Harry Maguire have been relieved from the captaincy as Henderson left the Reds while Maguire is closing on a move to West Ham United.

Let’s look at the captains of each club for the 2023–2024 Premier League season
