PSG make new contract offer to Kylian Mbappe with release clause set for summer 2025
The Franch star has rejected PSG latest offer
According to L’Équipe, PSG have offered a new contract to Kylian Mbappé that includes a provision allowing him to depart for a set fee in the summer of 2025. The Frenchman turned down the offer.
The 24-year-old was given a deadline by President Nasser Al-Khelaifi to exercise the option to renew his deal by the last day of July, or else he will be transferred during the summer transfer window.
Al-Khelaifi, though, is allegedly expecting some last-minute encrypts for the French sensation because time is rapidly running out.
However, it is rumoured that the Frenchman is being courted by a number of other top teams. Liverpool are apparently attempting to sign him on a loan, and Chelsea are supposedly putting up a player-plus-cash deal. However, given Mbappe’s desire in joining the Spanish powerhouses, Madrid continues to be the most likely prospect to secure his contract.

It’s becoming rather late for PSG to try to get a high price for Mbappe. To get the forward out the door this summer and prevent the possibility of his departing for free the next year, they might be compelled to accept a lower offer.
Any offers are most likely to fall below PSG’s valuation and unquestionably below Al-Hilal’s jaw-dropping offer of €300 million (£259 million/$332 million), which set a global record.
The Frenchman’s contract with Paris has one more year to run. He has, however, declined to sign an extension, thus he will be a free agent next July.
According to reports, PSG, who forced Mbappe to sign a two-year deal last summer in order to keep him, now believes that a star player like him is unable to depart for free.
They gave him a deadline in July to either renew his contract or suffer the penalties (which may include being sold this summer).
Mbappe has upheld his position thus far by declining to extend his at the moment contract. He apparently declined a request from the Saudi Pro League as well. For a one-year contract, they were prepared to pay him a whopping €700 million in wages and image rights.
