When the new season begins on Friday, a total of 26 networks and online outlets will have the exclusive right to show Saudi Pro League matches in various regions across the world, according to information obtained by Arab News.

These include YouTube outlet Canal Goat, which will broadcast matches in Brazil; free-to-air channel LA7 in Italy; and live games streaming site DAZN, which acquired the rights in Austria, Belgium, Canada, Germany, and the UK.

Al-Ahli Saudi and Al-Hazm will play each other in the season premiere of the new Saudi Pro League on Friday. As some of the game’s greatest players prepare to make their debuts for their new Saudi clubs, fans eagerly anticipate this season.

“These agreements come at a time of genuine growth for Saudi Arabian football, with growing interest in the Roshn Saudi league from football fans all around the world.” said Saad Allazeez, Saudi Pro League interim CEO.

“The watching world can now enjoy front-row seats as Saudi football transforms, and thanks to the Saudi Pro League strategy, football fans around the world will be able to watch promising young talent from the Kingdom competing and playing with some of the biggest names in world football.”

The signing of Cristiano Ronaldo to Al-Nassr sparked interest in the SPL. Since then, a number of A-list athletes, such as Karim Benzema, Roberto Firmino, Ruben Neves, Sergei Milinkovic-Savic, etc., have signed with different teams that take part in the competition.

Considering the recruitment of prominent international players like Jordan Henderson, Karim Benzema, N’Golo Kante, Sadio Mane, and Roberto Firmino by a number of Saudi clubs over the summer, anticipation for the next season is at an all-time high among fans globally. In December of last year, they joined Portuguese footballer Cristiano Ronaldo in joining Al-Nassr.
