Shea Lacey is a 16-year-old English footballer, born in Liverpool. Shea has two brothers who are footballers as well. His brothers grew up supporting Liverpool. However, Shea himself grew up supporting Manchester United.

He has been a part of the Red Devil’s youth program and has been earmarked as someone with huge potential. Manchester United have made sure that he gets enough exposure before being exposed to the first-team environment. Shea is just 16 years old at the moment and has not played top-flight football yet.

Shea Lacey’s performances for the youth team at Manchester United as well as for the U17 and U17 national teams make him one of the players to watch out for. He made his U-18 debut for the Red Devils at the age of 15. Since then, the player has featured in 13 games, scoring three times and assisting twice.

For the U16 national team, Shea Lacey scored twice and created two goals for his teammates in 11 appearances. These performances promoted him to the England U17 team and the player made his debut. He scored a brace against Spain during the September international break in 2023.

What are his past experiences like?

Seeing his potential in the academy, Shea Lacey was called up to play for Manchester United’s under 18 side at the age of 15. He has participated in many youth tournaments across Europe, including the REWE Youth cup in Gottingen, Germany.

While playing for Manchester United’s U-18- side, he scored his first goal for them against Wolverhampton Wanderers in a 3-3 draw.

He is yet to score big in terms of numbers. His skills, abilities and style of play have caught the attention of many, and he is expected to grow into a very exciting prospect in the coming years.

His performances have made him a regular feature in the Manchester United U-21 side.
