Inter Miami will face Philadelphia Union in Leagues Cup semi-final

Inter Miami will face Philadelphia Union in the Leagues Cup semi-final, which is set to become one of the most expensive games, with tickets for the game averaging $556.

There will be 18,500 people at Subaru Park for the match. The Philadelphia Union posted on its social media platforms that the semi-final was sold out and advised supporters to go to SeatGeak if they wanted to see the match.

Prices on SeatGeak begin at $400 US and go up to tens of thousands of dollars. The club is selling a small number of tickets, the most costly in Union history, with prices beginning at $556.

The initial encounter was a memorable battle against FC Dallas in the round of 16, which witnessed the two clubs draw 4-4 and Miami win the game on penalties.

This will be Lionel Messi‘s second trip away from home during the competition. The 2022 World Cup champion tied the game with a spectacular free kick for the opposition before coolly converting his penalty to advance The Herons to the quarterfinals.

Against the Texas team, tickets sold out in less than ten minutes. The team announced on social media that anyone looking to get tickets for the game should go to AXS resale, where they started at a minimum cost of 700 US dollars.

After Messi joined Inter Miami CF, there seemed to be a Messi madness, with sold-out crowds in each of his five games for the Florida team.

As a result, the event has exceeded expectations, drawing an estimated 800,000 spectators to Leagues Cup matches and an average of 18,000 spectators to each of the 45 group-stage contests.

As Lionel Messi and his Inter Miami team attempt to advance directly to the final, this pattern is expected to continue into the semi-final stages. They will, however, encounter a difficult test in the Philadelphia Union, which is supported by a full home crowd.
