Tottenham set to make move for Nottingham's Brennan Johnson

The winger is a reported target for Spurs
Italian transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano has reported that Tottenham Hotspurs are reportedly interested in Nottingham Forrest winger Brennan Johnson to bolster up their front three.
The London club has been looking for a Harry Kane replacement since the prolific Englishman left British shores to go play in Germany for Bayern München in the Bundesliga. Spurs manager Ange Postecoglou has been a long admirer of the 22-year-old and has reportedly given the green light for the move to go ahead.
However, it is being reported that the deal will not be an easy one for the London club to execute as Johson has attracted interest from many top clubs in the Premier League. Brentford reportedly sent in an offer in which they valued the striker to be at £35million.

If the deal went ahead, it would have been the most expensive signing in Brentford’s history. However, Nottingham Forrest ended up rejecting the offer, indicating they want a higher transfer fee for the Welsh international. Something Tottenham may be able to afford at the time.
Brennan Johnson has shown considerable consistency with Nottingham Forrest, and has shown the attributes required to be a very flexible forward in the future.
If he comes to London, he will be competing for a right-wing spot with Dejan Kulusevski, although he can play on either wing. The left wing will be occupied by captain Heung min Son. The attack will be fronted by Richarlison.
Johnson is a versatile striker and is very competent in front of goal as well, and can lead the attack as well. Ange Postecoglou is a big admirer of his versatility and has been interested in the striker for weeks. The striker has also attracted interest from Chelsea and an aforementioned bid from Brentford.
