Lionel Messi has scored eight goals in five Leagues Cup appearances

Lionel Messi and Inter Miami will play the semifinal match of the 2023 Leagues Cup against the Philadelphia Union.

They are preparing for the big match ahead. However, Inter Miami’s latest training video showed that their star player Messi suffered an injury scare while practising with his teammates.

Ahead of their semifinal match at Subaru Park in Chester, Pennsylvania, Inter Miami are preparing themselves to get a positive result in the match. They aim to make it to the final of the competition.

Since Messi’s arrival at the club, there have been a lot of changes. His former teammates Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba joined. This has lifted the spirit of the club and they are becoming a team to look for in the near future.

In the training video, Messi is performing a practice drill with some of his teammates, including Busquets. Leo tried to move his favoured left foot towards the ball. The player tried to reach the ball but his foot was stuck in the ground and Messi was hopping. He showed a bit of emotion but was looking fone towards the end.

The 36-year-old forward made his debut for the MLS side against Cruz Azul. A free-kick winner in the opening match was followed by a brace in the second match.

Messi scored five goals in the next three games and Inter Miami reached the semifinals. His magic has increased the ticket price. The average ticket price for Philadelphia’s game is $556 and this is the most expensive in the club’s history.
