West Ham United reach agreement in principle with Man United to sign Harry Maguire

Hammers are yet to reach an agreement on personal terms with the English star
West Ham United have reached an agreement in principle with Manchester United to sign Harry Maguire for a fee worth £30 million.
Personal issues should not be an issue, but there is still work to be done on the specifics of his departure from United.
Despite the fact that West Ham’s £20 million offer for the England international was turned down last month, they remain cautiously optimistic about finalising the signing.
The purchase of midfielder James Ward-Prowse by the Hammers and Southampton have also been broadly agreed upon.

The proposal has better payment requirements for Saints and is around the £30m that was turned down last month.
It’s understood that Saints prefer him to line up against Norwich this weekend, therefore discussions over when the transfer may be finalised are still underway.
According to Sky Sports News that Ward-Prowse is eager to transfer as soon as feasible but wants an opportunity to say farewell to the Southampton supporters. West Ham are unwilling to have him harmed before such a high-value trade.
One shouldn’t anticipate any issues with personal terms.
Man Utd turned down West Ham’s £30 million offer for Scott McTominay on Monday. The largest deal United might make this summer is thought to be of him, even though they are content to keep him and value him closer to £45 million.
With Rice gone, West Ham are left without a clear captain, and Moyes has chosen not to select a replacement as of yet. However, Maguire and Ward-Prowse offer two choices.
Both present first-choice core defenders Kurt Zouma and Nayef Aguerd have recently struggled with injuries.
Premier League winner Manchester City have made an exploratory inquiry but has not yet launched a bid for Hammers player Lucas Paqueta.
