When will Neymar make his Al-Hilal debut?
Neymar is still recovering from his ankle injury
According to head coach Jorge Jesus, Brazilian forward Neymar may not be able to make his Al-Hilal debut until September due to an injury.
Neymar, 31, left Paris Saint-Germain last Tuesday to join the Saudi club following a two-year deal worth 160 million euros ($174 million), according to the French publication L’Equipe.
“Neymar is an innovative and creative player, and he will help us to improve, but he has a slight injury now and I don’t know when he will return. Maybe he will be ready in mid-September. “I don’t know how the Brazilian national team (could have) called him, he is not ready.” Jesus made this statement following a greeting ceremony on Saturday in front of 60,000 people at the King Fahd International Stadium.
In the air above Al-Hilal’s home pitch, drones printed out ‘Neymar is Blue’ before the former Barcelona player witnessed his newly formed side cling to a 1-1 draw by Al-Fayha.
While he heals from a fractured ankle suffered in February, Neymar, who hadn’t played for Brazil until the World Cup last year, was recently named to the team for the World Cup qualifiers against Bolivia on September 8 and Peru just four days later.
Last week, the Brazilian forward emerged as the most recent player to make an important switch to the Saudi Pro League. The former PSG player arrived in the nation in a private Boeing 747.

The Brazilian receives a lot of benefits from the relocation, including the opportunity to take full advantage of his brand-new 25-room mansion as he continues his injury recovery.
After the international break, Neymar will reportedly resume club play, according to the Al-Hilal medical staff. That indicates that he will likely make his Saudi Pro League bow on September 15, whenever his new team plays Al-Riyadh.
The South American team begins its World Cup qualifying campaign in 2026, the same year that the 31-year-old forward is anticipated to return from his present injury.
Additionally, the league’s reigning winners, Al Ittihad, will be meeting Karim Benzema’s Al Hilal at that exact time. The likelihood of Neymar playing against the current Ballon d’Or winner might significantly impact Al Hilal’s chances of winning the match.
