Kerala Blasters loan out Givson Singh, Bijoy Varghese & two more players
A total of four players have been loaned out for the upcoming season
The 2023 Summer transfer window saw a lot of activity in Indian football, amongst which Indian giants Kerala Blasters were the major fiddlers, having gone through a major revamp and bringing in some of the most exciting talents from across the world.
Kerala’s tireless activity in the market continued till the very last day of the window, as they loaned out four of their young stars to various Indian clubs, including Odisha and Gokulam Kerala.
The players loaned out are as follows - Bijoy Varghese (Inter Kashi), Givson Singh (Odisha FC), Justine Emmanuel (Gokulam Kerala), Muhammed Sahreef (Gokulam Kerala).
In a statement by the club, it was said that the loan moves will give the players the necessary exposure and match experience required at this point in their careers, and that these moves have been facilitated keeping in mind the growth and progression of these players.
About the players
Bijoy Varghese
Local lad Bijoy Varghese has been at the club for the past three years, where he has been a part of Kerala Blasters’ B team, and has also made six appearances for the main team. The 23 year old centre back, now has the opportunity to get some gametime under his belt, as he moves to the newly established Inter Kashi FC.
Givson Singh
Givson’s move to Odisha is his second loan spell since joining Kerala in 2020 from Indian Arrows. Having been initially loaned to Chennaiyin at the start of 2023, Givson has now been loaned to Odisha, as the 21 year old looks to hone his skills and ultimately break into the first team.
Justine Emmanuel
20 year old Justine, who was brought in as quite a surprise signing by Kerala, has been loaned out to Kerala’s neighbours Gokulam. The young Nigerian, who has played for the Nigeria U-20 national team just before the U-20 African Cup of Nations that was held a few months ago, is now expected to get some gametime with the Malabarians, and get some experience of Indian football before coming into the main team.
Muhammed Sahreef
Muhammed Sahreef is another young talent that has now been loaned out. The player was brought in by the club last season, and was a part of their B team. Having impressed in his maiden season, Muhammed now gets the opportunity to play with Gokulam in the I League, where he can get some crucial game time under his belt.
