Veteran Pakistani keeper Yousuf Butt set to play his first home game
Yousuf will be integral in Pakistan's quest for a place in round two of World Cup qualifiers
The Pakistan National team will be playing one of the most crucial games in their national team history, when they take on Cambodia at home in the second leg of their first round World Cup qualifiers.
Having held the Koupreys to a 0-0 draw in the first leg, under Stephen Constantine's coaching, Pakistan now stands the chance to make it to the second round of World Cup qualifiers with a win on Tuesday.
Amidst the high anticipation amongst the Falcons for this second leg showdown, the Jinnah Sports Stadium will welcome one of their oldest serving members, for the very first time.
Having made his national team debut way back in 2012 against Singapore, Yousuf Butt has never made an appearance in front of the home fans yet. In all of his 22 appearances across several competitions such as the AFC Challenge Cup qualifiers of 2014, the SAFF Championship, as well as the 2013 Philippine Peace Cup, Yousuf has unfortunately never gotten the opportunity to represent his nation on their soil.
But this scrutinising wait for Yousuf Butt to play in front of the home fans, will finally be broken on Tuesday, when Pakistan play against Cambodia in Islamabad.
