Toni Kroos is likely to leave Real Madrid once his contract expires

According to sources, clubs who have been offered the option to sign Toni Kroos on a free transfer include Manchester United and Newcastle United. At the conclusion of the current campaign, the Real Madrid icon's deal at the Bernabeu expires, and he is not anymore a regular.

Thirteen games have been played by the 33-year-old, who has one goal and three assists, albeit six of those have come off the bench. Regardless of Real Madrid playing 14 games (1,260 minutes), he has only played 628 minutes thus far, which is the length of seven and a half complete games. In Saturday's El Clasico, he was substituted around the hour mark, with Barcelona leading 1-0.

Therefore, starting next summer, the retired 106-cap Germany international is searching for fresh experience. Numerous prominent Premier League clubs have made offers for Kroos, according to the Daily Star. As of January, he can speak with foreign teams about a pre-contract arrangement.

Furthermore, it's said that Chelsea, Manchester City, United, and Newcastle have all been informed of the midfielder's impending availability. The seasoned Kroos has never featured in the Premier League and is eager to finish his playing days in style.

Under David Moyes, United was eager to sign him in 2014, and Kroos has acknowledged that he was sold on a transfer to Old Trafford—until the Scot's dismissal in April. Rather than staying with Bayern Munich, Kroos moved to Real Madrid, where he has had ten extremely successful seasons.

Though Kroos' class is undeniable, Premier League teams may even be able to work out a deal at a discount during the January transfer window. With Sandro Tonali's recent 10-month ban for football wagering, Newcastle might present an intriguing possibility.
