Carlos Braithwaite is one of the remarkable names in West Indies cricket.

Carlos Brathwaite, the former West Indies T20 cricket captain, stepped into the vibrant ambiance of the Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan, also known as the Salt Lake Stadium, to catch his first taste of the Indian Super League (ISL) on November 4. The match featured East Bengal facing off against Kerala Blasters FC, with the Tuskers securing a victory over the Red & Gold Brigade.

In a heartwarming Twitter video shared by East Bengal FC's official account, Carlos Brathwaite was seen applauding the hospitality of the club. The former West Indies captain expressed his appreciation, and in a nod to the club's spirit, he echoed the famous phrase, "Joy East Bengal".

Speaking of the former West Indies all-rounder's best moments, one that stands out is his stunning performance in the ICC T20 World Cup 2016 final on April 3, 2016. Needing 19 runs to win off the last over against England, Brathwaite smoked Ben Stokes for four consecutive sixes to seal a remarkable victory for the West Indies. This incredible batting display not only secured the T20 World Cup title for the West Indies but also etched Brathwaite's name in cricketing history.

Furthermore, East Bengal FC currently find themselves in the 10th position on the ISL 2023-24 table. In a recent showdown against Kerala Blasters FC, the team faced a setback with a loss. The Tuskers seized the lead after 32 minutes and then doubled their advantage in the 88th minute.

Adding a twist to the narrative, the goal-scorer Dimitrios Diamantakos received a red card just a minute after netting the second goal. Despite the odds, Cleiton Silva stepped up for East Bengal in the 90+9’ minute, delivering a goal from the spot (after missing two consecutive attempts a few minutes earlier).
