Alberto Noguera returns to Mumbai City FC training

Noguera had also signed a contract extension with the Islanders earlier this year, keeping him with the club until the conclusion of the 2023-24 season.

Noguera emerged as a linchpin in Mumbai City’s victorious campaign last season, playing an instrumental role in the team’s achievement of the 2022-23 Indian Super League Winners’ Shield. His multifaceted contributions were integral to the success, with significant impacts in both offensive and defensive capacities.

Before the start of the 2023-24 season, a setback in the form of an injury to Alberto Noguera compelled Mumbai City FC to register El Khayati for the ongoing Indian Super League season. The Islanders have lost their coach, Des Buckingham, in the middle of the season to Oxford United, and the team is currently positioned fourth in the league standings and last in the AFC Champions League group stage standings.
