Lionel Messi rejected CBS Sports UCL show offer because of Jamie Carragher, claims Kate Abdo

Last year, Carragher disclosed that Lionel Messi had allegedly called him a “donkey”
Because Jamie Carragher was a guest on Wednesday night’s CBS Sports Champions League programme in Miami, Lionel Messi declined the invitation to participate, said to presenter Kate Abdo.
Last year, Carragher disclosed that Messi had allegedly called him a “donkey” in a private Instagram message after the Argentine legend voiced his disapproval of his move to Paris Saint-Germain.
The former player for Liverpool said in January 2022, “I had a little pop at [Cristiano] Ronaldo earlier in the season, didn’t think it was a great signing for [Manchester] United, then I said the example of Messi, I didn’t think Messi’s a great signing for PSG.”
You know that we made an official invitation extended to Inter Miami and we asked him to come on the show, do you know what the official response was,’ Abdo asked the cast.
‘Apparently Lionel Messi will not be doing any television shows that Jamie Carragher is a part of.’

And it seems like Messi is not yet ready to forget him for the remarks, as Abdo asserted that Carragher was to blame for the Inter Miami star turning down the opportunity to participate in their Champions League broadcast, following the revelation that CBS had sent him an official invitation.
Carragher really made the claim that, despite Ronaldo being the best goal scorer of all time, Messi is the finest player of any generation during the crew’s discussion of the long-running Messi vs. Ronaldo controversy.
Carragher continued, calling Messi’s refusal to perform for him a “claim to fame,” and then he asked the audience if they would have rather seen him involved than the legendary soccer player.
Messi would have made sense to be allowed to appear on the show, given that he has been the topic of the football world ever since joining Inter Miami.
He assisted the team in winning the first-ever MLS League Cup after relocating to Miami during the summer.
