Mexico announce squad for upcoming FIFA U-17 World Cup 2023

Mexico have lifted the trophy twice
Federación Mexicana de Fútbol, the Spanish name for the Mexican Football the Union, is in charge of the under-17 national football group, one of the young teams that plays football at the national level for Mexico. The squad has advanced to four FIFA U-17 World Cup finals and has won two of them, taking home the championship in 2005 and 2011.
The U17 Mexican Youth National team has once more summoned up custodian Fernando Delgado as it starts its last preparations for this year’s U17 World Cup, which will take place in Indonesia from 10 November to December 2. The COVID-19 pandemic in 2021 forced the competition’s cancellation.
During the Real Monarchs’ 2023 MLS NEXT Pro season, 17-year-old Delgado played in a team-high 10 games and recorded 26 saves, including an incredible double-save against Tacoma Defiance that was considered for the MLS NEXT Pro 2023 Save of the Year award. In his subsequent official year, the young goalie earned four wins and four clean sheets.
