Steven Bergwijn targeted by Saudi & English clubs for January move

Steven Bergwijn is currently playing for Ajax
Steven Bergwijn is once more a possibility for Saudi clubs in the January transfer window.
Not only has Bergwijn attracted significant interest from Saudi Arabia since last summer, but Premier League teams are also thinking of bringing him back. Everything is still up for grabs; keep an eye on January.
A winger who Tottenham only sold three transfer windows ago is expected to be traded again in January, and the location and price of the transaction have been revealed by a newspaper.
In the 2020 winter transfer window, Spurs spent a whopping £26.7 million to acquire Steven Bergwijn from PSV Eindhoven.
The Dutchman struggled to have the same kind of influence in England, but he was a formidable offensive power in the Eredivisie. Bergwijn only managed eight goals and ten assists in his 83 Spurs games.

In mid-2022, barely two and a half years later, Tottenham decided to break off relations. After signing with Ajax, another formidable Dutch team, Bergwijn went back to his own country.
In actuality, Bergwijn became the most costly signing in Dutch football history when Ajax paid €31.25 million, or roughly £27 million. Sebastien Haller set the previous record in 2021 when Ajax spent West Ham €22.25 million.
Because of this, Bergwijn is drawing a lot of flak for Ajax, who are currently bottom of the table and fighting to climb out of a hole they created. His fourth goal of a terrible season was barely a consolation during Sunday’s 5-2 thrash at PSV Eindhoven.
Meanwhile, rumours that the Dutchman’s head has been partly turned by a lucrative offer from Saudi group Al-Ettifaq haven’t done much to help him win over his disgruntled fan base.
