Iran have won against Uzbekistan on the last 7 occasions 

The battle for FIFA World Cup 2026 qualifications has started and Iran will battle out against Uzbekistan in their next game after winning the first game against Hong Kong. Iran are one top favorites from the AFC to qualify and they have been a regular fixture in recent World Cups. They will be looking to take the early advantage in the race and Uzbekistan stands as the biggest challenge for them in the group stage.

Uzbekistan may be 70th ranked in the rankings but they are one of the top sides of Asia. After Iran, they are the next favourites to advance from this group for the FIFA World Cup qualifications next round.
