ISL 2023-24, Points Table, Most goals and Most Assists after Match 64, Punjab FC vs Odisha FC

Odisha FC have climbed up to the third spot after win against Punjab FC.

The Indian Super League (ISL) 2023-24 is approaching the end of midweek of play, with only a few matches left before the break for the next scheduled games. Each team is striving to conclude the year on a victorious note.

After the conclusion of the match between Odisha FC and Punjab FC on the 27th of December, a significant alteration occurred in the points table, propelling Odisha FC to the third position.

A brief look at the points table

FC Goa is currently leading the points table with 23 points from nine matches. They are scheduled to play a match on December 29th and will aim to secure three additional points by emerging victorious over Northeast United FC.

The second position is currently held by Kerala Blasters FC, who also have 23 points in their kit but have played two more matches, putting them behind FC Goa.

The third positioned Odisha FC is currently experiencing an exceptional run this season. The Kalinga Warriors remain undefeated in their last seven matches, propelling them to acquire 21 points from the 11 matches they have played thus far.

The fourth and fifth positions are currently occupied by Mohun Bagan Super Giant and Mumbai City FC, respectively. Both the clubs have accrued 19 points, although MBSG has the advantage with six victories from nine matches, compared to MCFC’s five wins from 10 matches.

At the seventh position are Chennaiyin FC, who have, unfortunately, experienced a decline in their performance, securing only 12 points from 11 matches with three victories.

East Bengal, Northeast United FC, and Bengaluru FC are currently positioned at seventh, eighth and ninth place respectively in the points table. Despite each team having secured 11 points, their rankings differ due to disparities in match differences.

Jamshedpur FC currently holds the tenth position with nine points from 11 matches, whereas Punjab FC occupies the eleventh position with eight points from 12 matches. Hyderabad FC trails in the twelfth position with only four points from 11 matches.

Kerala Blasters forward Dimitrios Diamantakos currently leads the chart for most goals by a player in the ongoing Indian Super League, having scored 6 goals from nine matches. Following closely is Jorge Pereyra Diaz of Mumbai City FC, who has found the net 6 times in 10 games. Roy Krishna, the most reliable striker for Odisha FC, occupies the third position with 5 goals from 11 matches.

Rafael Schuler Crivellaro of Chennaiyin FC has made the most number of assists till now in this season. His tally stands at 5 assists in 11 matches. He is followed by Mohun Bagan’s young gun Sahal Abdul Samad with four assists from 6 games. Adrian Nicolas Luna of Kerala Blasters is at the third position with four assists from 9 games.
