Both the ISL and I-League, are scheduled for a break in January 2024 owing to the Asian Cup 2024 unfolding in Qatar. Nevertheless, club football will persist through the Super Cup, now rebranded as the Kalinga Super Cup, catalysing Indian football’s commencement in 2024 during the Asian Cup recess.

Consequently, the upcoming Kalinga Super Cup is expected to kick-start in Odisha on 9th January. The excitement is high as the football fraternity is going to see the clash of top teams contesting against each other from ISL as well as I-League.

Sixteen teams are competing for the silverware, with the winning team acquiring a spot in the AFC 2024-25 season’s ACL 2 Preliminary Stage.
