Adrian Luna, the heartbeat of Kerala Blasters is set to endure a significant setback, and is confirmed to miss a substantial part of the season. The Uruguayan playmaker underwent a successful Osteochondral Autograft Transfer System (OATS) Surgery on his left knee after sustaining an injury during a training session prior to the match against Punjab FC.

The successful surgery, completed yesterday, mandates a four-week recovery period followed by extensive rehabilitation, marking his absence from the field for approximately three months inevitable.

Luna’s prowess wasn’t limited to offense; he played a pivotal role in defensive maneuvers, earning accolades and driving Kerala Blasters to the top of the table. The Uruguayan midfielder, who has been a standout performer this season, boasting three goals, four assists, and an incredible 26 chances created in just nine games, suffered a setback that might rule him out for the rest of the season.
