I’m sorry – this is beyond me – with this squad to play like this is not BFC.” The strong words reflect the gravity of the situation and the urgency with which the team’s management is likely to address the issues.

Keziah Veendrop, a recent addition from the Dutch top flight, and Curtis Man, with experience in the lower divisions of England, were expected to bolster the team’s capabilities. Left back Akash Mishra doubled the lead by the half-hour mark, leaving Bengaluru FC with an uphill battle. In the second half, Jorge Pererya Diaz and Lalianzuala Chhangte further extended the lead through well-taken penalties, sealing Bengaluru FC’s fate in the game.
