ISL 2023-24: Hyderabad FC vs Jamshedpur FC – Build-up

Hyderabad FC’s misery in the 2023-24 Indian Super League continues as the 2021-22 ISL Trophy winners are yet to win their first game of the season, after losing six and drawing four games. Their upcoming challenge pits them against a frustrated Jamshedpur FC who did not produce an acceptable performance in their previous league fixture.

The match is set to take place at the Gachibowli Stadium on Thursday, 21 December, and will present an opportunity to both teams to steer their respective ships in the right direction. There is a lot of pressure on both the head coaches of the respective clubs with the fans losing patience due to the poor results.

Hyderabad FC now remain the only team in the 2023-24 season of the Indian Super League without a win. The campaign is going from bad to worse for the Nizams who reached the playoffs last term. Thangboi Singto seems to be clueless on how to turn things around and the off-field issues at the club are paralysing it on the field. It is going to be difficult for Hyderabad FC to prevent themselves from finishing at the bottom of the league table if things do not change fast.

Jamshedpur FC are winless in their last seven matches. Due to their poor form, the Men of Steel are languishing in the second-bottom place of the league table, only two points ahead of the Nizams. The side has won only one game all season and the hopes of making it into the playoffs are fading fast. A win away from home would restore some confidence in the team.
