In a recent interview with Kerala Blasters media, Tchorz shared insights into his professional journey, emphasizing his experiences in Europe and the exciting prospects for Kerala Blasters’ reserve team.

Fantastic holidays blend with professional growth

Reflecting on his recent break, Tomasz Tchorz expressed gratitude for a blend of personal and professional experiences, including a stint in Europe where he visited Italian Serie B club Como.

“The holidays were fantastic, I spent enjoying quality time with my family. I had an amazing professional experience in Europe, visiting the Italian club Como in Serie B, where Cesc Fabregas, after coaching the under-19 team, became the coach of the senior team. It was a perfect blend of my personal and professional life,” shared Tomasz, reflecting on his enriching experience.

New beginnings in the pre-season

Discussing the pre-season preparations, Tchorz highlighted the excitement surrounding an entirely new team entering its second cycle under his guidance. “The previous two years were highly productive,” he explained, “successfully promoting many players to senior and I-League clubs.”

He expressed confidence in the squad’s readiness for the Kerala Premier League (KPL) after friendly matches against the senior team and believes the competition will be instrumental in their growth and promotion to the senior roster.

KPL: A crucial platform for development

Tomasz Tchorz believes the Kerala Premier League is a crucial platform for young talent development. “It’s a vital state-level competition fostering high-level encounters, offering our youngsters a chance to compete against experienced players. Grateful to Kerala Football Association for this opportunity, aiming to win trophies and showcase potential.”

Tchorz’s vision for the KPL is clear – to win trophies and exhibit the team’s potential. He emphasized the blend of experienced seniors with budding talent, aiming for national and international recognition, ultimately elevating Indian football.

Expressing optimism about the KPL challenge, Tchorz revealed his aspirations for Aritra Das and Sreekuttan VS to secure spots in the senior team, hinting at other promising talents waiting in the wings.

Anticipation for emerging talents

Tomasz is visibly excited about the increasing presence of academy players in the ISL season. “Watching them play brings me immense joy as their coach. It’s not just a boost for these players; it’s also transforming the energy within the team. Other players now believe that joining the senior team is attainable, fostering an environment ripe for development.”

For the 31-year-old, developing players for the first team goes beyond skill; it involves fostering an environment where talents flourish against tough competition. He stressed the importance of guiding players toward professionalism while allowing them to find solutions independently.

“Developing players for the first team is about understanding their potential and guiding them towards professionalism,” he emphasized. “It’s our job to create an environment where talents flourish against tough competition, fostering growth and improvement.”

Speaking of standout performers, Tomasz Tchorz highlighted Mohammed Aimen’s exceptional season while eagerly anticipating the talent and potential of players like Mohammed Azhar, Sachin Suresh, Vibin Mohanan and Yoihenba Meitei.
