Newcastle United injury news ahead of Fulham clash
Newcastle United are now out of the Champions League
Eddie Howe stated that Anthony Gordon will be evaluated on Friday, but he could not provide an answer regarding his availability for Saturday’s match between Newcastle and Fulham.
The 22-year-old is set to be available for the Magpies’ weekend match against the Cottagers despite having a slight hamstring issue that isn’t expected to keep him out for very long.
Joe Willock and Harvey Barnes won’t be back until the end of the month, and Kieran Trippier is out due to a knock but remains out for the forthcoming game.
‘We are now getting a couple of players back but not in their best physical condition,’ Howe told a press conference on Friday. ‘Kieran misses this game through suspension so it is a good time for him to rest and we will see how he is next week.
‘We will see how Anthony Gordon is today. Joe Willock is in a period where he has had a couple of injections and a difficult injury but he won’t be back this side of January.

‘It’s the same now with Harvey Barnes, he won’t need an operation but we are waiting to see if he comes back or not.’
‘Dan Burn is closer to be being back, Sean Longstaff closer to being back and we are managing them to stay back,’ said the manager.
‘Dan is not just the player, but the character and the leadership qualities you get in the dressing room with him. He has allowed us to play in a certain way. He has been an important part of what we have, and we have missed him when he has been away.’
Dan Burn and Sean Longstaff have better information: they are both eligible after appearing off the bench against AC Milan during the midweek.
Nick Pope, Jacob Murphy, Sven Botman, Elliot Anderson, Matt Targett, and Javier Manquillo are the long-term absentees still not back for Newcastle.
