The Champions League knockout stage will be held in February and March
The UEFA Champions League 2023-24 round of 16 draw was held at the House of European Football in Nyon, Switzerland.
Chelsea legend John Terry was invited to pick out the balls from the pot to decide the knockout stage fixtures.
The group winners were in one pot and the runners-up were in eight different pots. There were criteria to match the runners-up with the group winners. Teams from the same countries couldn’t play each other and the teams who already played in the group stage were also ineligible to play against each other.
Arsenal, Barcelona, Real Sociedad, Atletico Madrid, Borussia Dortmund, Bayern Munich, Manchester City and Real Madrid finished at the top of the pile.
Porto, Napoli, PSG, Inter Milan, PSV, Lazio, FC Copenhagen and RB Leipzig were the runners-up.

The round of 16 matches will be played in mid-February and early March. The first match of the knockout round will be played on 13-14 and 20-21 February. The second match will be played on 5-6 and 12-13 March.
Man City will look to defend their crown. They are currently in Saudi Arabia to play in the FIFA Club World Cup 2023.
