Top European clubs chase AC Milan's shot-stopper Mike Maignan

Mike Maignan has extended his deal until 2027

Mike Maignan (28), the custodian for AC Milan, is reportedly attracting interest from Chelsea, Manchester United, Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich, according to Foot Mercato.

The top player in France wants to stay at AC Milan, but the two sides have not yet come to an agreement on an extension. With his current contract with AC Milan expiring in 2026, Maignan is requesting a large pay rise that would account for both his advancement within the team and his newfound position as Les Bleus’ top player.

Even though talks continue to drag on, Maignan and AC Milan are still very far apart, which makes communication challenging. Some of Europe’s elite might be inclined to act if negotiations fail.

Manchester United, PSG, Bayern Munich, and Chelsea are all keen on the former Lille OSC player. Despite André Onana’s summer signing, the Red Devils are still interested in him. Onana hasn’t impressed since coming to Old Trafford.

It will take more than €70 million for any club to convince Maignan to leave the San Siro, according to Foot Mercato.

The Bundesliga winners have a selection of three players who might take the position of the seasoned German international as the team’s first-choice custodian in the future, even though the veteran international signed a new one-year deal that guarantees him at Bayern Munich through 2026, as reported by Sky Sports.

According to the source, Gregor Kobel of Dortmund and Alexander Nubel of Stuttgart are on the choice, along with AC Milan custodian Mike Maignan. In the current season, the French custodian has made 10 appearances in Serie A and has four clean sheets to his name.
