Reece James sidelined for 2-3 months with hamstring injury

This is the second time Reece James has picked up a hamstring injury this season
Reece James’ chances of joining England’s squad for Euro 2024 are in jeopardy as he is expected to miss another “long” stint of time due to injury.
Chelsea skipper James was set to consult a hamstring expert on Tuesday to find out the severity of the hamstring injury he sustained during the Blues’ 2-0 loss to Everton on Sunday, according to a report published this morning by Mail Sport. James will be absent for a while, according to Chelsea, following a “medical assessment.”
Though Chelsea is reluctant to estimate how long James’ recuperation will take, there are concerns that his injury may keep him out of action for months rather than weeks.
According to reliable sources, he will be out of commission for a “long” time, however, Monday night’s surgery to fix his injured hamstring is still a possibility. Given the defender’s history of hamstring issues, it is anticipated that his recuperation would be a gradual process.

James was sidelined for two months of the season due to a hamstring injury he sustained in the season’s first match against Liverpool.
His most recent loss comes as a blow to England manager Gareth Southgate as well as Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino.
James decided to concentrate on his fitness and ruled himself out of the running for Southgate’s final roster. James will meet with Chelsea’s medical staff following his appointment with the consultant.
James missed two months due to a hamstring injury sustained in August, and he has only started six of Chelsea’s 19 games this season.
Two times this year, he pulled his hamstring, once during the Champions League loss to Real Madrid at home, despite understanding that he had injured the muscle.
