Chelsea goalie Robert Sanchez ruled out for 1 month due to knee injury

Robert Sanchez suffered a knee injury vs Manchester United
Robert Sanchez is out for the entire holiday season, as announced by Chelsea, where he and Marc Cucurella will be out for extended periods, similar to Reece James.
Following a knee injury a few days prior at Manchester United, goalie Sanchez was forced off the field at Everton. Although reports anticipate that custodian Sanchez will be out of commission for about four weeks, Chelsea has not yet released an official timetable for his absence.
If Sanchez is sidelined, Chelsea won’t have him until the middle of the next month.
Before visiting Fulham on January 13, they have six games scheduled: five in the Premier League and the FA Cup matchup with Preston. Since moving from Brighton to Chelsea in the summer, just before teammate Spaniard Kepa Arrizabalaga went on loan to Real Madrid, Sanchez has become Chelsea’s starting striker.

After replacing Sanchez at Goodison Park, Djordje Petrovic, a summer acquisition from New England Revolution, made his Chelsea bow. An injury to their starting goalie will allow the Serbian to play for a longer period.
Head coach Mauricio Pochettino said: ‘When you suffer an injury and lose your No.1 keeper so far, it is a player we are going to miss but we have other players that are working hard to be ready when this type of thing happens. Of course, it’s very sad because we will lose a player for a few weeks.
‘We need to wait and see the situation perfectly with Robert.
‘I have faith in all my players and he arrived in Chelsea because we believe he has great potential. He is young and came from different football in the USA but after four, five months working with us it is the moment for him to step up and feel good because we have the confidence and trust in him.
Now it is about making his debut at Stamford Bridge and yes we really trust in him that he can perform in the way we want.’
