Will Manchester City be allowed to wear FIFA World Champions batch?

Manchester City added yet another trophy to their cabinet. Pep Guardiola’s treble winners won the FIFA Club World Cup 2023 after a comfortable 4-0 win over Fluminense.
Manchester City’s triumph at the Club World Cup will be marked at every Premier League game for the rest of the season.
They are allowed to wear the gold badge marking their status as the champions of the world.
The winners of the landmark FIFA tournament bringing together teams from every continent are allowed to wear a gold badge on their shirt in certain competitions to mark them out as the best team in the world. Man City were already free to wear the new shirt in the FA Cup and Champions League but have now been permitted to wear it in Premier League matches as well.

As well as fans being able to buy the updated version of the shirt from this weekend, Guardiola’s players will take to the field wearing it when they run out at Goodison Park on December 27. They will then be allowed to wear it for the remainder of the season.
Liverpool were only allowed to wear the badge for one Premier League match after they won the Club World Cup in 2019 and Man United were refused permission in 2008, but the most recent English winners Chelsea were allowed to don the badge for the remainder of the 2021-22 campaign.
The Reds defeated Flamengo 1-0 thanks to a late goal from Roberto Firmino. But they had to wait until the following season to wear the badge. Premier League rules at the time stated that kit changes could not be made during the season.
