ISL 2023-24: Jamshedpur FC vs NorthEast United FC – Build-up
The Indian Super League (ISL) returns to action after a month-long break. Jamshedpur FC and NorthEast United FC will get us underway with the proceedings for the second half of the season.
Both teams have undergone changes during the break and will be raring to go. Both sides produced an amazing show in their last meeting as NorthEast United FC pulled off a 99th minute winner. On that note, let us take a look at how things stand ahead of this mouthwatering clash.
Jamshedpur FC will look to begin the second phase of the league on the right note. The Red Miners have appointed Khalid Jamil as their new head coach and have looked a completely different side under him.
Jamil helped Jamshedpur FC get to the semi-finals of the Kaling Super Cup after winning all of their group stage fixtures. They currently find themselves on the tenth position on the table and will want to improve their performances in the second half of the season.
The Highlanders on the other hand have also made a few changes to their roster with a couple of new signings during the break and are looking to go all out in the remaining ten league stage fixtures.
Juan Pedro Benali’s side also displayed a good brand of football during the Kalinga Super Cup and are currently high on confidence. They are ranked sixth on the table and will want to build upon their newly found confidence.
